Susana Baker
Susana Baker is a hammered dulcimer performer from St. Louis, MO. She has been playing hammered dulcimer since she was 14, after 4 years of playing classical violin. While her style draws influence from many types of music, her “bread and butter” is folk music, particularly Old Time and Celtic.
Susana is the 2024 National Hammered Dulcimer Champion. She also placed second in the senior fiddle category at the 2012 Florida Old Time Music Championship.
You can catch Susana playing hammered dulcimer around the St. Louis area, including giving demonstrations at the First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site, playing at her church, or joining in with local Old Time jams.
